Environmental Data and Model Catalog (EnDMC)

Welcome to Louisiana Watershed Initiative’s (LWI’s) EnDMC (pronounced like “endemic”), which simplifies the management and discovery of environmental data and models. EnDMC was created to achieve the LWI’s model use, storage, and maintenance initiatives, by helping users identify relevant models and data. This application will allow you to:

In order to use most of the functionalities of the repository, you need to register or login if you have an existing account.

All users can search and download models and simulations filed. To create metadata and upload the digital assets associated with it, you need an editor role. This can be requested in the registration form and can be approved by an administrator.

Accessing Terrain Files

Terrain files from the LWI HEC-RAS calibration/validation and design storm runs are available in dedicated subfolders to make them easier to find.

Accessing Flood Output Mapping Files

LWI consultants created flood output raster files to make model results more accessible. These have been uploaded in dedicated subfolders with each HEC-RAS calibration/validation and design storm model.

To download flood output mapping files only:

In some cases, output from related models (e.g., sub-basins of a watershed) were mosaicked together, and the resulting output rasters were uploaded as a separate dataset instead of with the model application. If that is the case for the model application of your interest, follow these steps:

Maximum water depth and water surface elevation are available for all produced sets of rasters. Many consultants also included maximum velocity.

Flood Output Rasters file name follows a specific naming convention to help users understand their content. The naming convention for past and future generation of H&H and Consequence Models and Data can be found here.
