LWI Region 5 Mermentau Headwaters - HEC-RAS Simulation: Delta 2020 Calibration

On October 9, 2020, Hurricane Delta made landfall near Creole, Louisiana, as a category 2 hurricane. The storm closely followed the path of the previous Hurricane Laura, which occurred 6 weeks prior. FEMA noted 181 claims within the Bayou Teche watershed associated with the storm timeframe. Most of the claims where near the City of Alexandria and Woodworth. The period of October 7th to 15th, 2020, is simulated in the HEC-RAS model. The precipitation for this period was up to 21.24 inches for areas in the watershed.
