LWI Region 5 Mermentau Headwaters - HEC-RAS Simulation: October 2015 Validation

In October 2015, a non-tropical event with a multi-period storm duration hit the coast of Southwestern Louisiana. Heavy rainfall was seen near the Louisiana – Texas border (NWS n.d.b). The period of October 23 to November 13, 2015, was modeled in HEC-RAS.

This is the October 2015 Validation Flood Run for the Mermentau Headwaters combined model. The hydrology for this event is derived from HEC-HMS model developed by HDR for Mermentau Headwaters region.
